 Deusto is making full use of the new system thanks to the Deusto Education Model.  Most of what is being proposed in the new teaching system has already been implemented through this model at Deusto. This original  teaching method places special emphasis on aspects very similar to those set out in the Bologna process, such as the fact that students organise their own learning, the importance of providing individuals with a comprehensive education where, in addition to knowledge, they may also acquire competences and values; the European credit transfer system (ECTS),  international mobility for students and lecturers, etc...

Hence, the University has an outstanding position in this field.Implementation of the complex European credit system to measure student workload in terms of learning time and translate it into ECTS credits has been easy for the teaching staff at Deusto, since they started to implement it in 1994.
